Perspective.
Right now, federal prosecutors and NC state officials are debating the release of over 20 murderers and rapists from state prisons. Convicts with life sentences are to be released, only one will be required to endure parole. Yet, the finest among us serve - voluntarily - in conditions and circumstances far, far worse than our prisons. They do so not as punishment, not as a sentence but - to them - an honor and duty.
While rapists and murderers are freed, our troops continue to endure worse conditions and worse treatment.

This is not acceptable. This is travesty. This is unjust. This is shameful.

Several groups of North Carolinians are making plans to try - in a small way - to grant some respect, admiration and gratitude to the men and women of our military. This saturday, October 24, in Fayetteville, NC - they will spend four hours to hold a troop-support rally and 'rolling tea party' to honor those that serve at Fort Bragg.

Will you come, please? Will you join us in saying simply - thank you.

Will you miss that ballgame to serve a nobler purpose? There will be another game, probably the next day.
Will you give up a few holes of golf? The grounds keepers will still be preening the green next weekend.
Will you pass up the state fair? It's the same rides, bad food and displays that were there last year and will be there next year.
Will you postpone washing the car, painting the bathroom, watching that movie, lighting the grill or whatever routine entertainment it is that can wait.

In a recent video release of the David Manning Interview, Manning stated that Obama's power is in the press. The mainstream media made Obama's presidency possible, gave him the power that he arrogantly over-estimates.

The media abandoned mere bias to become an active and integral partner in the Obama campaign. The freedom of the press, protected by the first amendment, was abused to hide the scandals of their candidate, to downplay the questionable associations of their candidate, to canonize their candidate in sainthood, to attack their candidate's opponents with lies, mockery and smears.

The media has enjoyed a free pass for decades to support liberal and leftist agendas. That era ends ... now.

Operation: Can You Hear Us Now is a grassroots effort to bring attention to the media bias exhibited by mainstream media outlets such as CBS, NBC and ABC. The lack of coverage of newsworthy and important happenings, most recently ACORN and Washington DC Tea Party, has not gone unnoticed. And people are angry.

Organizers state "We are protesting to defend our liberties and speak out against the complicity of the media given the scope of its influence." They ask attendees to make signs strictly about media, and not about Obama, health care, taxes or any other hot issue. The goal is to stay on topic and not give the already bias media ammunition to disregard this event as well.

So far approximately 100 cities around the country have confirmed participation. Raleigh's rally will be held at WRAL-TV studios on 2619 Western Blvd. The march begins at 12noon, Saturday October 17th.

That particular article concentrates on Raleigh, NC. But the protest against the media, organized by Operation: Can You Hear Us Now, is nationwide. In North Carolina, the protests will be wide-spread and sponsored by many different organizations.

AshevilleTeaParty is making the arrangements for the spanking of ABC affiliates WLOS.

First – Saturday, October 17th, noon to 2:00 pm, a public protest at our local ABC affiliate, WLOS.

Second – ongoing – to begin on October 17th, a two part campaign to send a message to the television networks and cable news networks that we will not tolerate their abdication of their duty.

We will commit to tuning out all programming on ABC, CBS, and NBC, to include news and entertainment. No one will watching anything on any of these three channels.

We will also commit to writing letters to the major advertisers with MSNBC and CNN, promising to cease from buying their products so long as they continue spending their advertising dollars with these two cable news networks.

On October 10, Raleigh N.C. will witness a new type of Tea Party. We call it a Rolling Tea Party.

The Rolling Tea Party will be hundreds of people slowly driving their automobiles along a pre-designed route, advertising the RollingTeaParty.com website. Each car will have the website URL written on windows and signs, with American flags and Gadsden flags attached to draw attention. As the general public sees these cars and reads the signs, it is our hope they will look up this website to see what's going on.

The website will be altered on October 10 and thereafter to deliver the tea party message to people that come to see what all the cars were about.

The idea of a rolling tea party is to take the people that attend the 'standard' tea party/townhall/protest and spread them throughout the city.

Of the tea parties that were held in Raleigh, NC, the smallest attendance was about 1,000. The impact on the general population during the event was minimal; only people in the immediate area knew about it. Outside that four block area, thousands of people went about their business and lives completely unaware of the tea party.

A Rolling Tea Party will disperse the message across the city, exposing thousands to a spectacle that they may not understand at first, but they will remember. They will ask questions, they will go to the website.

Make your plans to participate, put aside a few hours on Saturday for civic duty.

Concerned Citizens and Immigration Reformers,

Believe it or not the North Carolina Community College Board has announced they will recommend at their next meeting in September to allow illegal immigrants to attend our state Community Colleges.

Our state unemployment rate is 11%, state-supported Community Colleges are in place to better educate and train citizens so they can get jobs, but instead the NC Community College Board wants to help educate illegal immigrants for jobs??

HOW TO TAKE ACTION TO STOP THIS - READ DOWN BELOW

It is interesting that last fall before our last election then Lt Gov Beverly Perdue, running for Governor and on the NC Community College Board, said she was opposed to the above and the matter was placed on hold. Now that the election is over it appears the Democrat leadership plans to ram this down the throats of citizens and assume no one will really notice.

OUR TALKING POINTS to the NC Community College Board:

With 11% unemployment shouldn't our state of North Carolina Community College System focus our limited state resources on training/educating unemployed citizens for jobs? If we allow illegal immigrants to attend state Community Colleges at any of the over 50 campuses across NC, won't we be helping illegal immigrants take jobs that should be reserved for only legal residents? Also when one is illegally in our Country and graduating as a high school student [now an adult] he/she can return to their native Country to go to college or trade school. And it is against federal law to aid and abet an illegal immigrant. If our NC Community Colleges [knowingly] allow illegal alien immigrants in America to attend state-supported Community College, isn't this providing aid to an illegal immigrant? Lastly, it is a violation of federal law to hire someone illegally present in America. Hence what good does it do to educate an illegal alien adult in America, if no company in America can legally hire them?

So vote AGAINST allowing illegal immigrants to attend our NC Community Colleges and REQUIRE all state Community College campuses to use the federal S.A.V.E. [Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements] System to make sure all applicants are legally present in the USA.

Possible non-sense talking points from the State Board of Community Colleges:
But it's not their fault that their parents brought them here? rebuttal - when one is illegally in our Country and graduating as a high school student [now an adult] he/she can return to their native Country to go to college or trade school and get a job there.
We will make money if we charge illegal immigrants out-of-state rates? rebuttal - the figures used to suggest this did not include the original cost of land and all costs of building construction and total costs. If illegal immigrants get jobs instead of citizens, one for one our state will probably still be paying unemployment and medical benefits to the unemployed citizen, so how does this save money?
Currently we may be only allowing a few hundred illegal immigrants in our Community Colleges so what's the big deal? rebuttal - our state really doesn't know how many illegal immigrants are already attending because we aren't using the federal S.A.V.E System database to check those who claim to be citizens. And if only a few hundred illegal immigrants are really in fact attending our Community Colleges [and we doubt it] then why should our Community College System object to preventing them from attending?

This event was paid for by simply spreading a donation bucket around to conservative groups throughout the triangle and triad area. Triangle Conservative and several other groups came to meet last week and all agreed on this venue.

The questions should be prepared and written in advance. Facts supporting the question should be included. We wonder if Rep. Miller agrees with Obama health-care policy advisor Ezekiel Emanuel, who announced a new "Complete Lives System" in January 2009.

Emanuel actually stated in an article published in the British medical journal Lancet, "When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated." Spontaneous, uncoordinated, passionate -- citizen resistance to Obama socialism grows by the day.

We Americans understand resistance. We don't hunger to engage in it. We can be slow to respond to the non-violent circumstances that provoke it. But once it begins, it takes its own course among us. Like water pulled by gravity seeking its own level. It's happening now.

The internet has shortened the gestation period for resistance. Nearly every day a new video surfaces on the web showing an angry crowd of ordinary citizens talking back to their member of Congress, or to some Cabinet person, as the pol morphs from confident and officious to stunned and stupefied. (Obama's czars, on the other hand, like their Russian predecessors, never face public scrutiny. They butterfly float in an ether world of inbreed wonkishness in search of purpose, doing who knows what. Hopefully, little.)

The April 15th Tea Parties, belittled by the legacy media, were collectively the coming-out event of a new American resistance. The cause then was out-of-control government spending. Today, it's shifted to a wider focus on Obama's brand of socialism for America. When the cover of the February 16, 2009 issue of Newsweek proclaimed "We Are All Socialists Now," it was a barely visible comet streaking across a news cycle. Not now. "Like hell we are!" is the rising antiphonal response today as a litany of proposed socialist legislation lines up in Congress.

As members of Congress go home for recess it won't be to playground games. Some will hide from their constituents, not wanting to face them. Why bother? They plan to vote as Rahm and their party leaders tell them anyway, for their only ideology is to remain in power. Others will think, "The people have short memories; soon they'll be back watching reruns of Law & Order." They'll underestimate the resistance. Meanwhile, the legacy media will attribute it to right-wingers and belligerent extremists incited by their demonized arch enemies, conservative talk show hosts. They don't get it either.

Vocal opposition from their constituents differs from what they're accustomed to hearing from colleagues on the floor of the House or Senate. There it's, "I respectfully take exception to the position expressed by the honorable member from the state of bla bla bla." The ruling class speaks the language of the ruling class when citizens might be watching on C-SPAN. But in the public forum, people speak plainly, in a language with which some members of Congress are not used to being addressed. The resistance doesn't speak Beltway.

President Obama and his supplicants in Congress are offering the citizens of the United States, if not anything, then quite a lot. They are offering "affordable" health-care for all. They are offering a world without "climate change." All that they require in return for living in such an Eden? A little liberty, is all.

The ghastly cap-and-trade legislation will tell you when and how much energy you can use to pursue your dreams; it will tax almost all productive human activity. The Obama-Pelosi health-care racket will slowly starve the private insurance market, leaving you with exactly one choice for your medical care - the government.

We citizens have thus far dodged a bullet. August recess has come and health-care and cap-and-trade are not yet law. We must use this time to rally our forces. Meet your congressmen and senators at their town halls and public appearances. Call their offices. Write them letters, both print and email. Tell them on no uncertain terms - this will not stand.

Above all, our representatives must be made to remember - we are not doughy Europeans who accept whatever the government does. They work for us. The money they propose to spend is ours, and they propose to spend it before we have even earned it. That is simply unacceptable.

It is already starting. YouTube and other sites are filling with videos of angry crowds holding their representatives to account at town halls all across America. This is to the good. The battle is joined, and is not yet lost.

We Have to Work Extra Hard

The calls you have been making this week are having an impact. Unfortunately, it seems that our voices are simply not quite loud enough. Speaker Pelosi has said that she has the votes to move the Health Care bill. So, we have to step it up a little bit more. Will you please joining us in emailing the Chiefs of Staff of the following moderate to conservative Democrats?

It is best if you email the Congressional members that are in your state and/or in your specific district. In the email ask the Chief of Staff to certify that their Member will NOT vote for the Health Care bill. You can your state the reasons why this bill is not a good bill for Americans.

Be sure to let the Chief of Staff know who you are in your community whether you are a stay at home mom, a small business owner, or a community leader and the impact of the government take over of our health care to your organization (loss of jobs, increased taxes, etc.).

Thank you so much for helping us further the causes of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. We promise we will slow down on the amount of emails to you once Congress is in recess.

The Time to Act Is Now

Dear Fellow Patriot,

Thank you for getting out on Friday to voice your opposition to Government Take Over of Our Health Care! We had protests outside of many offices around the country. We are still tallying our results.

Government take over of our health care is not a done deal yet. We are asking you to Melt the Phone Lines this week. We need to weigh in actively, aggressively, and with big numbers.

To that end, call each of the respective members of the committee below, not just the ones from your state. If the office says they only take calls from their District, remind them that the Representative or Senator swore to uphold the US Constitution, which represents all of us. Also, if they are a committee member (this does not hold true for the caucus members) remind them that part of the Representative or Senator's role on the committee is to gather information from many sources to make the best decision. You are helping provide that information.

Health Care Freedom To Do List
