Seeing Red Rally

Seeing Red Rally
Thursday, 3.11 @ 11:30 AM
Bob Etheridge’s Raleigh Office
Join us as we visit Bob Etheridge’s Raleigh Office to let him know that we are "Seeing Red" over this health care reform bill and the un-American tactics being used to forward it.
Red for our Health. Red for the Debt. Red for our Anger.
Despite a FULL YEAR of debate, town halls and grass roots protesting, the Obama Administration is set to defy the will of the American people and ram Health Care Reform through Congress using shady deals and parliamentary gimmickry. Finding no traditional means to pass the sweeping legislation, President Obama has called upon the Democrats to walk the political plank, break Senate decorum and use a Machiavellian - by any means necessary - procedure to finalize its approval.
We the people, have now been put on 2 Week's Notice; the Administration has called for a final vote by March 18, 2010. Such utter disregard for the people whom Congress is supposed to represent must be met with and equal and FINAL push back.
It is well past the time for our Representatives to listen to the people. Let’s show them, in a bold move of solidarity all over the country, that we fully understand the legislation, that we reject it, that we are angry and that we are serious!
BE THERE!

Thank You Soldiers
by admin December 20th, 2009A song dedicated to soldiers and veterans is turning the third grade at Colonial Heights' Tussing Elementary School into an Internet sensation.
The response from around the world has surprised music teacher Michael Souders, who co-wrote the song "Thank You Soldiers" with his wife, Angela, and posted the video on multiple video-hosting Web sites, including You Tube.
The third-graders gave a school performance after Veterans Day, and Souders wanted to write a song for the students to sing that was not just about the soldiers, but to them.
"I wanted to write one that would be very sweet from [the students'] hearts, from them singing directly to the veterans and soldiers," he said.
The three-minute video has the lyrics to the song displayed over photographs of soldiers past and present. The song opens by celebrating the ability to sleep peacefully at night while soldiers protect America's shores "in the air and oceans, too / Defending freedom at all cost."
While Souders never served in the military, he has a deep appreciation for those who do. "Not having served, I feel indebted more," he said.
Souders said the students received certificates from the Military Chaplains Association of the United States of America and Catholic War Veterans of the U.S.A. for the performance. The class also is receiving notes and e-mails from all over the world, from active-duty soldiers to veterans to their families.
Since being uploaded to You Tube and other Web sites early last month, the video has been viewed more than 15,000 times. The song has been played on various radio stations throughout the Richmond area.
"The real, real desire for that video [was] the more soldiers that get a thank-you, the better," Souders said. "It's almost become a class project, to see how many soldiers we can thank."
One thing is certain, Souders said: "They are going to remember; it's not something they'll soon forget."
How they voted and what we do about it...
by TMedlin November 8th, 2009The House bill has passed. Some of our reps supported it, and some voted against it. We can’t use this single vote as a barometer.
We need to look at this vote in conjuction with other votes they have made, in order to make a decision about whether to fight to boot them out, or not. We need to know how they voted on TARP, the stimulus, the budget, Cap & Trade… I don’t have that data, but some of you probably do… at least the voting record of YOUR Representative.
So please post that info here, in the comments section, and I will try to compile a blog that gives everyone an overall view of what our reps are doing. We know that Pelosi has given some of them permission to vote against their party’s interest, in order to keep their seats in the House.
We also know that they are going to push for amnesty for illegals. If that passes, it’s GAME OVER! So we’ve got work to do.
The following tells the tale of the House Bill. Like I requested, please add other pertinent voting record info in the comments and I’ll compile a complete picture to be used to help us develop our strategies going forward.
The House vote -
01 G. K. Butterfield — YES
02 Bob Etheridge — YES
03 Walter B. Jones —NO
04 David E. Price — YES
05 Virginia Foxx —NO
06 Howard Coble —NO
07 Mike McIntyre —NO
08 Larry Kissell —NO
09 Sue Wilkins Myrick —NO
10 Patrick T. McHenry —NO
11 Heath Shuler —NO
12 Melvin L. Watt — YES
13 Brad Miller — YES
One last thought – we only have 2 Senators – Burr and Hagan. The Senate is the next battlefield. I hope the folks from across the state will be willing to ficus, in particular on Kay Hagan on the next couple of months. We need people at ALL her offices EVERY week between now and the time the Senate votes. EVERY week. Rolling Tea Parties circling her offices. Phone calls, faxes and emails…day in and day out. Please discuss this at your KTMS.
Supporting Our Troops Tea Party Fort Bragg NC
by admin October 25th, 2009Vets on the Hill
by admin October 23rd, 2009
Last year, Vets for Freedom brought hundreds of veterans to Capitol Hill to support General Petraeus and the Iraq Surge. The result, our commanders and troops on the battlefield got the resources they needed, and we're winning the war in Iraq.
This is another call to action. Vets for Freedom is asking every Afghanistan veteran, and other veterans, who believe in defeating America's enemies to converge on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC on Thursday, November 5. It's time for the warfighters to tell their representatives--face to face--to give the Commanders what they need.

Can We Spare a Day to Honor Our Troops?
by admin October 20th, 2009While our troops are engaged in a war against murderers and sub-humans that do not recognize nor abide by any conventions or decency, under the harshest environments imaginable - they are made keenly aware that only they seem to take the battle seriously.
Ever since the current theater of battle was opened, our troops have been under assault from enemies they cannot fight, adversaries they are not allowed to recognize. Within the last decade the defenders of our freedom and our constitution have endured the ridicule, disrespect and outright hostility of an insurgency that attacks them from the rear, from within the ranks of the people they sacrifice to protect.
Even their commander in chief demonstrates no consideration or desire for victory.
Perspective.
Right now, federal prosecutors and NC state officials are debating the release of over 20 murderers and rapists from state prisons. Convicts with life sentences are to be released, only one will be required to endure parole. Yet, the finest among us serve - voluntarily - in conditions and circumstances far, far worse than our prisons. They do so not as punishment, not as a sentence but - to them - an honor and duty.
While rapists and murderers are freed, our troops continue to endure worse conditions and worse treatment.
This is not acceptable. This is travesty. This is unjust. This is shameful.
Several groups of North Carolinians are making plans to try - in a small way - to grant some respect, admiration and gratitude to the men and women of our military. This saturday, October 24, in Fayetteville, NC - they will spend four hours to hold a troop-support rally and 'rolling tea party' to honor those that serve at Fort Bragg.
Will you come, please? Will you join us in saying simply - thank you.

Will you miss that ballgame to serve a nobler purpose? There will be another game, probably the next day.
Will you give up a few holes of golf? The grounds keepers will still be preening the green next weekend.
Will you pass up the state fair? It's the same rides, bad food and displays that were there last year and will be there next year.
Will you postpone washing the car, painting the bathroom, watching that movie, lighting the grill or whatever routine entertainment it is that can wait.
Take a day off from enjoying your American blessings to say thanks to those that protect those blessings.

A Tea Party Greets Obama ...
by admin October 16th, 2009Can You Hear Us Now?
by Bubba October 8th, 2009In a recent video release of the David Manning Interview, Manning stated that Obama's power is in the press. The mainstream media made Obama's presidency possible, gave him the power that he arrogantly over-estimates.
The media abandoned mere bias to become an active and integral partner in the Obama campaign. The freedom of the press, protected by the first amendment, was abused to hide the scandals of their candidate, to downplay the questionable associations of their candidate, to canonize their candidate in sainthood, to attack their candidate's opponents with lies, mockery and smears.
The media has enjoyed a free pass for decades to support liberal and leftist agendas. That era ends ... now.
Stephanie Avery writes at Examiner.com: Nationwide 'march on media' is organizing in Raleigh saying
Operation: Can You Hear Us Now is a grassroots effort to bring attention to the media bias exhibited by mainstream media outlets such as CBS, NBC and ABC. The lack of coverage of newsworthy and important happenings, most recently ACORN and Washington DC Tea Party, has not gone unnoticed. And people are angry.
Organizers state "We are protesting to defend our liberties and speak out against the complicity of the media given the scope of its influence." They ask attendees to make signs strictly about media, and not about Obama, health care, taxes or any other hot issue. The goal is to stay on topic and not give the already bias media ammunition to disregard this event as well.
So far approximately 100 cities around the country have confirmed participation. Raleigh's rally will be held at WRAL-TV studios on 2619 Western Blvd. The march begins at 12noon, Saturday October 17th.
More information can be found at Triangle Patriots website or to find other cities in the NC area participating, visit NC Freedom

Also, get information at Triangle Conservatives Unite Meetup
Operation Can You Hear Us Now? is a tea party protesting "main stream" media (who are now the fringe media). In all fairness, we have enjoyed coverage here in the Raleigh area from our local stations, but the parent companies are ignoring conservative voices, conservative views, and any story that does not seem to support the Obama administration.
No longer do we see an independent and free press. All objectivity in reporting from the likes of ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NPR and others is long gone. It’s time to let them know the gig is up. We see right through you. We ask journalists and media organizations to reform their ways and prosper once again, or have your publications and your media outlets lose viewership and watch your ratings plummett as the general public realizes that everything you have to say is based on an agenda, and not in reality.
That particular article concentrates on Raleigh, NC. But the protest against the media, organized by Operation: Can You Hear Us Now, is nationwide. In North Carolina, the protests will be wide-spread and sponsored by many different organizations.
AshevilleTeaParty is making the arrangements for the spanking of ABC affiliates WLOS.
First – Saturday, October 17th, noon to 2:00 pm, a public protest at our local ABC affiliate, WLOS.
Second – ongoing – to begin on October 17th, a two part campaign to send a message to the television networks and cable news networks that we will not tolerate their abdication of their duty.
We will commit to tuning out all programming on ABC, CBS, and NBC, to include news and entertainment. No one will watching anything on any of these three channels.
We will also commit to writing letters to the major advertisers with MSNBC and CNN, promising to cease from buying their products so long as they continue spending their advertising dollars with these two cable news networks.
Amazingly, we remain far more informed on national and world news/events than any of our MSM-indoctrinated comrades.

In America, the call of the drums and fifes is forever
by admin October 7th, 2009Judi McLeod, remembering 9/12
from CanadaFreePress
In those dark hours of the soul when it seems that a shock a day is being launched at We the People from the White House, I return to the drummers and fifers who led the 9/12 march to Washington.
Listening to—or even imagining hearing—the drums and fifes on that day drowns out the hypocrisy of two community organizers now benefiting from the titles of President and First lady of the mighty United States of America.
Listening to the drums and fifes wipes out the image of Obama passing out white coats for yesterday’s Rose Garden photo-op during which 150 doctors purportedly helped him to orchestrate the latest chapter in his hard sell Health Care Reform.
Remembering the sound of the drums and fifes on Sept. 12, 2009 makes fade away, at least for awhile, the image of a Michelle, self-professed Sainted Sacrificer, and all the czars steadily chipping away at American sovereignty.
Rolling Tea Party
by admin October 6th, 2009On October 10, Raleigh N.C. will witness a new type of Tea Party. We call it a Rolling Tea Party.
The Rolling Tea Party will be hundreds of people slowly driving their automobiles along a pre-designed route, advertising the RollingTeaParty.com website. Each car will have the website URL written on windows and signs, with American flags and Gadsden flags attached to draw attention. As the general public sees these cars and reads the signs, it is our hope they will look up this website to see what's going on.
The website will be altered on October 10 and thereafter to deliver the tea party message to people that come to see what all the cars were about.
The idea of a rolling tea party is to take the people that attend the 'standard' tea party/townhall/protest and spread them throughout the city.
Of the tea parties that were held in Raleigh, NC, the smallest attendance was about 1,000. The impact on the general population during the event was minimal; only people in the immediate area knew about it. Outside that four block area, thousands of people went about their business and lives completely unaware of the tea party.
A Rolling Tea Party will disperse the message across the city, exposing thousands to a spectacle that they may not understand at first, but they will remember. They will ask questions, they will go to the website.
Make your plans to participate, put aside a few hours on Saturday for civic duty.
Go to RollingTeaParty.com for more details, and help make this one as successfull as previous tea parties in North Carolina.

Consider how they decided, last year, to abandon mere bias to become an active working part of the Obama campaign. The freedom of the press, protected by the first amendment, was abused to hide the scandals and downplay the questionable associations of the candidate that is now the president in training. The media used their resources and powers to promote one side, and did so without shame or apology - and without a trace of objectivity.
We've tolerated the media bias for decades. We get mad at them, pull our hair, grit our teeth and wonder what is wrong with them. But we have never doled out the spanking that this spoiled brat deserves.
Now, ten months after the mainstream media's election victory, after ridiculing thousands of patriots who protested in tea parties, after branding us as extremists, domestic terrorists, racists and nazis, after ignoring one and half million of us in Washington D.C. -
It's time - to take the media to the woodshed.
And guess who's going to do it? Right. The same people that have been thronging to the tea parties and townhalls - you.
Initiated by Operation: Can You Hear Us Now?, On Saturday, October 17, 2009 there will be protests against the media across the country.
In North Carolina there will be media protests at the following locations:
Asheville: ABC affiliate WLOS noon to 2:00pm, Long Shoals Rd and Schenck Pkwy.
Wilmington : Star News 4 to 7:00pm, 1003 S 17th St
Winston-Salem : NBC News Email contact: pamassetmgr@aol.com
Raleigh : CBS affiliate WRAL, 12 to 2:00pm, 2619 Western Blvd (intersection of Avent Ferry Rd and Western Blvd)
Charlotte media protest location and time to be announced.
This list will grow, keep an eye on it.

Dismantle Lady Liberty?
by Bubba September 16th, 2009This letter came to me via email. One of those that gets passed around, back and forth.
Supposedly written by Rosemary LaBonte to the editor of Orange County Register.
I can't verify the author or the authenticity of the origin of the letter, and I don't even care to - it's irrelevant. The message is clear and true, regardless of who wrote it
Dear Editor: :
So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.
Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented.. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.
They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them.. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.
Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out.. My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan . None of these first generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan They were defending the United States of Americas one people.
When we liberated France , no one in those villages was looking for the French American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country.. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.
And here we are in 2009 with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.
And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty , it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn't start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

by Bubba September 15th, 2009It was nice while it lasted ...
the right-wing euphoria of the massive protests of 9/12 has been dampened, the victory tainted, the movement embarrassed ...
by the ProHealthCare March, the very next day by Obama's Organizing for America.

Action Alert : September 15th and 17th
by Bubba September 14th, 2009The 9/12 March will go down in history. With stories, photos, videos and reports flying all over the internet (but, of course, not on MSM), I don't feel the need to say a whole lot about it.
I did file a report at WhatBubbaKnows.com : The Patriot Tsunami ... nuff said.
That was not the culmination of the Tea Party, Townhall, conservative protest movement.
Oh no, it's only the beginning. We have much more work to do. It's time to turn up the heat on the commie-crats and the RINOs, and start applying pressure, pressure, pressure.
There's no time to rest. Statists, communists and moonbats don't rest, neither shall we.

Your 9/12 Assignment (Updated)
by admin August 28th, 2009Updates to this post are at the bottom.
Have you noticed the image link near the top of the right side bar -
That looks like this:

Have you clicked on it yet?
Do you know what's going to happen in D.C. on September 12?
Please read this letter from Harry Riley, COL, USA, Ret
Patriots,
Are you like me, just totally fed up with the taking apart of our nation, unbelievable incompetence and purposeful betrayal, in your face attack on American sovereignty and liberty, by the so-called leadership in America?
It boils down to two variables: Power and greed…we the people are irritants to the power-brokers, of no consequence to the disgraceful government. The deceivers, manipulators are in our face, view us with disdain…I mean are you mad as hell, ready to make a meaningful difference, do whatever it takes to put “boots on the ground?
I would be preaching to the choir if I listed all the bottom feeder illegal and immoral actions that are destroying our nation…I will mention one item. Can you imagine our Founding Fathers reaction over a statement by the occupant of the White House that refers to a problem in America being “excessive greed”? Obama (and by the way he’s not my president) in commenting on the upheaval in Washington used the above phrase…as if greed is ok, (probably a Freudian slip on his part) the problem comes as he views it, with “excessive greed”. Is there any doubt that his compass has gone south?
How can we as Americans stand-by and do nothing, allowing our nation and hundreds of thousands of warrior lives to be treated as so much fodder for the political grist mill? Now I know patriots are doing things, maybe you, but we’re not doing enough. We’re not stopping the insanity in Washington, D.C. and other greedy and power-hungry pockets of power that is creating national destruction. It goes on and on and cannot stand…we simply must rise up, come together and reduce the fragmented, isolated pockets of patriotic support…act as a massive force of millions, shoulder to shoulder.
The time is here…we cannot wait. Americans can no longer risk losing our nation to the greedy, self-serving, despicable politicians, corporations, money launderers, immoral murderers, that are making a mockery of our US Constitution and Republic principles.
This plea is not about business as usual…we have been talking a good game but the talking must stop with millions of Americans taking to the streets on September 12, 2009 in Washington, D.C. We must let our numbers do the talking all across America…this is not an invitation to stand-up, it demands our attention because we have no alternative but to stand-up…if we don’t we are contributing to national destruction by our absence.
The Tea Party folks and others to include Patriots For America, have a nation-wide organization, all States, many cities in each State already making preparations to field millions of Americans to raise our voices in a “massed force” that will totally jolt the entire nation. This is not about some few hundred or a few thousand people in specific cities…this is about millions in Washington, D.C. in addition to major cities, with hundreds of thousands in medium cities, and tens of thousands in smaller cities all across America……September 12th in D.C. must be a gigantic outpouring or the media and politicians will view us as a weak, fragmented movement and they will continue their dishonorable direction.
Click here and here…visit it, get in touch with the point of contact for your State and make it known where you will be on September 12, 2009…you must be on the street in a large crowd with signs that reflect the myriad of crimes against America by politicians and courts. We must send a “roar” that we want, no we demand in no uncertain terms that the thievery in America end, the corruption will no longer be tolerated, greedy leadership will be put on notice, ignoring our Constitution and Republic principles will be treated as treason.
Find five(5) patriots that you can confirm who will attend the rally in DC or another large gathering on September 12th……if everyone of us does this, we will send a “shock and awe” message that will dwarf the January 29 Obama fiasco…..we must commit to “massing America” on September 12, 2009 in Washington, DC. We simply cannot allow over 233 years of sacrifice for freedom be swept aside by ungrateful, self-serving slime balls…..
This is no game patriots…we can do this now, rise up in a non-violent gathering to convince a shameful, rudderless, out-of-control government to mend behavior or risk a potential implosion in America of devastating proportion.
Find a rally point and commit, without qualification, to be on the street September 12, 2009....make every attempt to be in Washington, D.C.
Update: August 9
The following information is from Tina M of Raleigh, NC.
If you haven’t made reservations, the following link is the best place to go to make them. All the best group discounts can be found there, as well as a map for the March, and scheduled events for each day.
http://guest.cvent.com/EVENTS/Info/Summary.aspx?e=5ba072d3-891d-494d-9cfa-3b2c73399c53
First, you will need to join Resistnet, if you haven’t already.
Go to the State groups and select North Carolina. Within the NC group, there is a state group for the March on DC. You need to request to join that group. That is where you’ll find all the info you need to get with others and join us in DC.
http://www.resistnet.com/group/northcarolinataxpayermarchondc910912
Before you make any reservations, I’ve created some group discussions WITHIN OUR OWN NC GROUP for the trip, where you can post info if you have a room to share, NEED to share a room, need a ride, want to ride the Amtrak with others, or schedule a bus trip with others.
I cannot make your arrangements for you, but I am giving you the place where you can hook up with others.
The links to get with others to plan your trip, share expenses, etc. is:
http://www.resistnet.com/group/northcarolinataxpayermarchondc910912/forum
Once again, to make hotel reservations, see the March route, make appointments with your representatives, and see updated activities, this link is the best:
http://guest.cvent.com/EVENTS/Info/Summary.aspx?e=5ba072d3-891d-494d-9cfa-3b2c73399c53
Several of us from central NC are already booked at the Capitol Hilton($99 per night). Those rooms are already filled. However, I just got this note: “They agreed to increase our block if we need it. But we have also added other rooms. We have the JW Marriott that is actually located across the street (as you step out of the front door of the hotel…you are at the march site) and it is only $149/night. Great property and they are allowing single, double, triple or quad for the same rate (the rooms come with either a king or two queens).”
Another one, close by, and still a good price is the Westin. I believe it's on K Street and 14th, just a block or 2 away from the Hilton. The link above, has all the details.
Each person has to decide when and how they are going, and how you will spend your “free time”.
My personal plans are:
Thursday, 9/10, leaving (driving) early enough to possibly be there early enough to take in one of these sessions:
11:00 am: Fighting for Freedom at the Local Level
Adam Radman, Americans for Tax Reform
Josh Culling, National Taxpayers Union
Mark Meckler, Tea Party Patriots
Steve Elliot, Grassfire.org
Jenny Beth Martin, Tea Party Patriots
Amy Kremer, Tea Party Patriots
11:00 am: Battles in Congress – Health Care
Chris Chocola, Club for Growth
Rep. John Shadegg
Sen. Tom Coburn
Rep. Doug Lamborn
Rep. Virginia Foxx
11:00 am: Battles in Congress – Taxes
Grover Norquist, Americans for Tax Reform
Rep. Marsha Blackburn
Rep. Tom Price
Rep. Scott Garrett
At 1:00, there is a press conference on Capitol Hill. You can register for that thru the link I posted above. You register for the event, but it is free of charge.
After that, you can visit your representatives and perhaps do some sightseeing that evening.
I have inquired about getting a permit to protest in front of the White House, or The Federal Reserve, or The Treasury that afternoon or evening. I’ll have more info on that later.
Friday, 9/11
9:00 am: September 11th Never Forget Memorial on the National Mall
Afterwards, take in some of the following events (there MAY be a charge for some of these-check back for more details):
11:00 am: Battles in Congress – Bailouts and Business Cycles
Dr. Wayne Brough, FreedomWorks
Rep. Ron Paul
Sen. Jim DeMint
Rep. Mike Pence
Rep. Michele Bachmann
1:00 pm: Battles in Congress – Budget
Steve Moore, The Wall Street Journal
Rep. Paul Broun
Rep. Jeb Hensarling
Rep. Jeff Flake
1:00 pm: Entrepreneurs in America

These 2 events are also scheduled:
4:00pm Bureaucrash Happy Hour at Bullfeathers
Evening: 4:30-6:30 Resistnet Meet and Greet Fellow Resistors
Evening: 7:00 FreedomWorks Dinner (there is a charge)
I’m planning to skip the Happy Hour and Dinner, and go to the following, and would like to invite you, too:
Demonstrate with Freerepublic in support of our troops at Walter Reed.
Saturday, 9/12
8:00am Set up for stages and volunteers; crowd gathers at Freedom Plaza
10:00am March on the Capitol Begins down Pennsylvania Ave. (See Map)

Saturday night will be spent with new friends and old, dinner and maybe drinks somewhere yet to be determined.
Sunday 9/13, after check out, I plan to make a stop at the Vietnam Wall with other patriots and visit the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier to watch the changing of the guard... before heading home.
Your 9/12 Mission Can Also Be a Troop Support Mission : UPDATED
by Bubba August 27th, 2009See GOE Wounded Warrior Project for updates on the following story.
Have you made your plans and reservations for 9/12 in DC?
If not, get a move on. Time is short. This is your opportunity to be a player in an historic event.
Get the Details Here
Support Your Troops While in D.C.
The troop support organization Gathering of Eagles of NC is using this event to promote another very important and on-going mission: Friday Nights at Walter Reed.
For several years the Free Republic folks of DC and Virginia have been demonstrating every Friday night at the gates of Walter Reed Army Hospital in D.C. Filling the sidewalk corners at the intersection with cheering patriots, waving American flags and signs they have provided moral support for the wounded warriors within.
This is especially appreciated since the anti-war group Code Pink also gathers on Friday nights a half block down to protest and belittle the military.Any mission that draws the Gathering of Eagles to D.C. automatically includes joining the 'freepers' on their patriotic vigil to support the wounded troops and their families.
The weekend of September 11 will be no different. As thousands, perhaps millions, of patriots descend on D.C. for the 9/12 Taxpayers Revolt, the Gathering of Eagles will spend Friday night at the gates of Walter Reed.
You dont have to be a GOE or FR member to participate, you only need to love your country and the soldiers that sacrificed to defend it.
Ah! But this weekend will be a little different. The GOE will go bearing gifts. As is usual, GOE is collecting donations of cash and gifts for the troops at WH.
This effort is being organized by 'Uncle' George Samek of Shallote, NC.
Among the gifts in stock already: shiny new laptop computers with webcams to allow the wounded troops to communicate with friends and family while they recover and heal.
As of this writing, the plan includes four laptops. More could be purchased with sufficient donations.
Of course, computers are not the only gifts being collected. Phone calling cards are also very useful. In the past, when donations were great enough, gifts of cash were given to the families of the wounded to help ease the financial burden of traveling to and staying in D.C. with their healing soldiers.
If you would like to contribute to the gifts for the troops contact me at bubba@whatbubbaknows.com
I'll get you hooked up with Uncle George.
OR you can donate directly using the PayPal donation link at the top right of this site's home page.

by Bubba August 24th, 2009NCFreedom Triangle Constitutional Town Hall
Tuesday, August 25th, 7 PM - 9 PM
Lighthouse Convention Center
326 Tryon Road, Raleigh, NC 27603
A panel of experts will be available to answer questions if our representatives cannot attend.
Congressmen Miller, Price, Etheridge and Sen Kay Hagan and Burr all received hand delivered invitations to this over the last 24hrs.
Congressman Miller and David Price have already notified us and declined the invitation, they will be represented in effigy. We are still waiting for Sen Hagan and Burr's response.
This will be a non political educational meeting to the public, we have so far estimated 400 folks and counting to attend, we have only released this announcement a few days ago.
Many of our elected lawmakers refuse to hold a town hall meeting, we will hold our own.
This event was paid for by simply spreading a donation bucket around to conservative groups throughout the triangle and triad area. Triangle Conservative and several other groups came to meet last week and all agreed on this venue.
Rules and etiquette for questions.
The questions should be prepared and written in advance. Facts supporting the question should be included. We will have state of the art projectors and three large screens to show HR 3200 information in detail. If the question is related to this bill, provide the page number so that it can be shown on the screen for verification.
The questions will not be limited to health care.

America Marching on Washington
by Bubba August 23rd, 2009While elected lawmakers across the nation avoid their constituents, attending townhalls in secret or under 'protection' of hired union goons ...
While Obama flops on previous flips of old flops, public option? Yes! - public option? No! - public option? I, uh, dont know ...
While lawmakers can't agree on exactly how they will install socialism without losing their jobs ...
You shouldn't be wondering what stalled the unicorn stampede to socialism that was launched in January.
It was you.
You stalled the stampede.
You threw the wrench into the gears of the America-Eating Machine.
You realized that you've been waiting decades for Americans to stand up and say NO, and you knew that you could not wait any longer for someone else to do something.
Are you going to stop now? Thousands, perhaps millions of Americans, are marching on Washington in September. They will be all the Americans that have decided that waiting on somebody else to do it is not an option.
If you haven't yet made your plans for 9/12 in DC, you may be close to making that mistake you will regret for a lifetime.
It's not too late to motivate.
