One more reason not to trust government with our healthcare
by TMedlin March 2nd, 2010There are a million stories of government incompetence. This one was sent via email by one of our own local patriots.
I've edited it to keep it brief and am publishing it, with his permission:
"...My Mother passed away on 4th February 2010.
She had been in pain and suffering and battling COPD for many years... She is in a far better place and is no longer in pain. At least she will not have to deal with the "Obama Health Care Plan" that we're about to have thrust down our throats.
As I said she died on the 4th of February, we received the Death Certificates on the 16th so we could start putting her affairs in order.
The first stop was the Social Security Office in Raleigh.
After a 93 minute wait, we were seen and the person took the information for Mother and then took Dad's information.
[snip]
Today my dad received in the mail a letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs addressed to my mother ...!!!
It was notifying Mom they were sorry to hear of "my FATHER'S Passing".... and the standard "If you need assistance" ... Yadda yadda yadda..."
[snip]
Dad got on the phone and tried to find out from Social Security what was going on. It was 3:55 in the afternoon. At 3:58 they hung up on him... turned on the standard "Press 1 for English" and "our hours are from..."
He made several other calls into other time zones and found out Social Security had
1)declared him dead
2)cut off his military retirement pay
3)DOD Civil Service
4)Medicare
5)Tri-Care medical benefits and
6)notified IRS to Freeze his bank accounts
We don't know all the rest of the damage done, at least not yet!
Now we have to go back to Social Security office and have those "People" declare him "Not Dead" and they will have to notify all the rest of the folks He is not dead.
This Is a warning ... If you have to file the notice at the Social Security Office, make sure you get a copy of the notifications they are going to send out to approve prior to the notices being mailed... Just to make sure you are not declared "Dead".
[snip]
The way these people run the offices it's no wonder the dead are still voting and drawing their Social Security!
[snip]
Take care out there and never trust any one from the Government...
an important message from Tea Party Patriots about "Tea Party" 3rd party
by TMedlin January 6th, 2010Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,
There is much talk of the formation of a third political party based on the tea party movement. In Florida, a Democratic operative with absolutely no connection to the tea party movement has filed papers to form a third party called the Florida Tea Party. He has issued legal threats against local tea parties demanding that they cease using the name "Florida Tea Party."
Tea Party Patriots is issuing this statement in order to make it clear that we are not associated with this, or any attempts to form a third party. Additionally, we believe that such efforts are unproductive and unwise at this time. The history of third party movements in this country is one of division and defeat. We believe that it is instead time for all Americans to rise up and demand appropriate reform within their own parties. The mechanisms exist for citizens to participate in their parties, and to drive their parties in the right direction.
The Tea Party Patriots encourage all citizens to get involved in the party process, and to reshape their parties into something in which they may once again believe. This country does not belong to any one party, nor does it belong to the career politicians. This country belongs to the citizens. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "We have given you a republic madam, if you can keep it." The founders knew that it would be our sacred obligation as citizens to get involved, and to work hard to hold on to this great nation. We have much work to do, and future generations will look back in judgment. We hope you will join us in preserving the republic.
You are the heart and soul of the Tea Party Movement. Thank you for promoting the causes of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets with us!

CommieHagen: Finally, Some Honesty, at last
by admin December 20th, 2009Copenhagen, Denmark
U.N. Summit on Climate Change
Now that the circus is over and the roadies are packing up the tent, the clowns are on their way home and we all have some time to review what was said, done and demonstrated; we realize that amongst all the liars, scam artists and preening celebrities, there were some in attendance that were totally honest and truthful about what the whole 'climate crisis' thing is about.
Obama was not one of those. His ten minute speech was the predictable mind-numbing recital of catch phrases, lies and buzz words. (Yes, I watched and listened to whole thing and I'll never get back that wasted time.) His carbon-pumping plane ride trip was nothing more than a another "Hay yaw, look at me" stunt.
No, the honesty was delivered by Hugo Chavez. He made it perfectly clear in his speech why he was there, and it wasn't about Global Warming. It was about advancing Communism by destroying Capitalism. That's not just my interpretation of his words, that was his message plainly spoken with no hidden meanings.
... Chavez painted capitalism as the enemy of the earth — not to mention the cause of AIDS, poverty and war — in a speech to the UN Summit on Climate Change ...
"The cause of all this disastrous situation is the destructive capitalist system," the Venezuelan socialist leader told delegates Wednesday."Capitalism is the road to hell."
"I would exhort the government and the people of the earth ... to say that if the destructive nature of capitalism exists, let's fight against it and make it obey us," he said. "If capitalism resists, then we have to give battle against capitalism and open our way to save mankind."
If the putrid Chavez was the only one spouting the commie mantra, it would be of no portent. I wouldn't be spending my Saturday evening typing about it. But I am typing and you are reading, so there must have been others? Oh, you betcha. The building was slam full of commies.
Lenore Taylor, reporting for TheAustralian.com:
When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
But then he wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ - “our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell....let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.” He won a standing ovation.
Eh? what? Did you really believe that all the foot stomping and fist shaking of the warmies was about saving dear mother earth from the bad co2? You foolish child.
Those ingrates in Copenhagen cheered at the call for the death of Capitalism - and that is what it's all about.
The climate change scam is engineered and designed to kill capitalism. If you want to know why they want to kill capitalism, just simply ask yourself "when capitalism is dead, what replaces it?"
Even more honesty was on display outside. Have a look at the following video.
For emphasis on my theme, here's some screen caps from the video.
Ya see that? They carry a banner with the famous Che image overlaying a map of South America. Gone are the days in which the leftists wore that image and claimed ignorance of the evil that was Che G. Because, as shown in the photo, they put his name on it. That means they know who Che was, and what Che was - and they are Oki Doki with that. They want their communism and don't care if another sadistic serial murderer (or two)(or a hundred) rises up to lead them and their hammer-sickle banners.
Crying for mother earth? Worried about Global Warming? Scared of carbon dioxide? Bullshit.
Manmade Climate Change & Global Warming; it is and always has been about redistributing the wealth of those that create it to those that waste it.
How they voted and what we do about it...
by TMedlin November 8th, 2009The House bill has passed. Some of our reps supported it, and some voted against it. We can’t use this single vote as a barometer.
We need to look at this vote in conjuction with other votes they have made, in order to make a decision about whether to fight to boot them out, or not. We need to know how they voted on TARP, the stimulus, the budget, Cap & Trade… I don’t have that data, but some of you probably do… at least the voting record of YOUR Representative.
So please post that info here, in the comments section, and I will try to compile a blog that gives everyone an overall view of what our reps are doing. We know that Pelosi has given some of them permission to vote against their party’s interest, in order to keep their seats in the House.
We also know that they are going to push for amnesty for illegals. If that passes, it’s GAME OVER! So we’ve got work to do.
The following tells the tale of the House Bill. Like I requested, please add other pertinent voting record info in the comments and I’ll compile a complete picture to be used to help us develop our strategies going forward.
The House vote -
01 G. K. Butterfield — YES
02 Bob Etheridge — YES
03 Walter B. Jones —NO
04 David E. Price — YES
05 Virginia Foxx —NO
06 Howard Coble —NO
07 Mike McIntyre —NO
08 Larry Kissell —NO
09 Sue Wilkins Myrick —NO
10 Patrick T. McHenry —NO
11 Heath Shuler —NO
12 Melvin L. Watt — YES
13 Brad Miller — YES
One last thought – we only have 2 Senators – Burr and Hagan. The Senate is the next battlefield. I hope the folks from across the state will be willing to ficus, in particular on Kay Hagan on the next couple of months. We need people at ALL her offices EVERY week between now and the time the Senate votes. EVERY week. Rolling Tea Parties circling her offices. Phone calls, faxes and emails…day in and day out. Please discuss this at your KTMS.
PA State Legislator, taking a stand against subversives.
by admin October 27th, 2009PA State Legislator Attacked By Soros/MoveOn.Org-Connected VoteVets.Org
Pennsylvania State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler County) officially responded today to an attack ad now running on KDKA radio and several other local stations urging listeners to contact his district office and demand that he resign.
“The sponsors of this ad are attacking me because my comments have exposed that Operation Free’s radical leftist agenda has absolutely nothing to do with America’s national security, energy independence or protecting our environment, but is a direct attack on our Constitution,” said Metcalfe, a U.S. Army veteran whose honorable service record between1980-84 includes defending the West German border during the height of the Cold War.
Operation Free is a front group for a vast “non-profit” coalition that includes the Truman National Security Project, the National Security Network and the sponsor of the ad campaign VoteVets.org. VoteVets.org supports a far-left group of state and national politicians, including U.S. Congressman John Murtha. All of these groups are affiliated and receive funding from billionaire George Soros and his even more controversial political organization MoveOn.org.
“I stand by my original comments,” said Metcalfe. “Any veteran lending their name to promote the leftist propaganda of global warming and climate change, in an effort to control more of the wealth created in the U.S. economy, through cap-and-tax type policies, is a traitor to the oath he or she took to defend the Constitution of our great nation. If someone is advocating for our government to make statutory or regulatory changes in policy or enter into treaties that violate our Constitution, and they have taken an oath to uphold and protect that same document, then they are traitors to that oath.
“Operation Free and VoteVets.org stand with the likes of Congressman John Murtha, who accused our marines of killing ‘innocent civilians in cold blood.’ I stand with the vast super majority of my fellow veterans in defense of the U.S. Constitution,” concluded Metcalfe.

Drill
Petroleum is a major part of America’s energy picture. Shall we get it here or abroad?
By Sarah Palin
Given that we’re spending billions of stimulus dollars to rebuild our highways, it makes sense to think about what we’ll be driving on them. For years to come, most of what we drive will be powered, at least in part, by diesel fuel or gasoline. To fuel that driving, we need access to oil. The less use we make of our own reserves, the more we will have to import, which leads to a number of harmful consequences. That means we need to drill here and drill now.
We rely on petroleum for much more than just powering our vehicles: It is essential in everything from jet fuel to petrochemicals, plastics to fertilizers, pesticides to pharmaceuticals. According to the Energy Information Administration, our total domestic petroleum consumption last year was 19.5 million barrels per day (bpd). Motor gasoline and diesel fuel accounted for less than 13 million bpd of that. Meanwhile, we produced only 4.95 million bpd of domestic crude. In other words, even if we ran all our vehicles on something else (which won’t happen anytime soon), we would still have to depend on imported oil. And we’ll continue that dependence until we develop our own oil resources to their fullest extent.
In America, the call of the drums and fifes is forever
by admin October 7th, 2009Judi McLeod, remembering 9/12
from CanadaFreePress
In those dark hours of the soul when it seems that a shock a day is being launched at We the People from the White House, I return to the drummers and fifers who led the 9/12 march to Washington.
Listening to—or even imagining hearing—the drums and fifes on that day drowns out the hypocrisy of two community organizers now benefiting from the titles of President and First lady of the mighty United States of America.
Listening to the drums and fifes wipes out the image of Obama passing out white coats for yesterday’s Rose Garden photo-op during which 150 doctors purportedly helped him to orchestrate the latest chapter in his hard sell Health Care Reform.
Remembering the sound of the drums and fifes on Sept. 12, 2009 makes fade away, at least for awhile, the image of a Michelle, self-professed Sainted Sacrificer, and all the czars steadily chipping away at American sovereignty.
Enough! Global Warming Crap
by Bubba October 4th, 2009Yet another scientific scandal has come to light which knocks another whopping crater in the already shattered theory of anthropogenic global warming. Eight peer-reviewed studies, which for years have played a significant supporting role behind the IPPC’s claims of AGW, have been shown to be fraudulent
Ross McKitrick: Defects in key climate data are uncovered
Only by playing with data can scientists come up with the infamous ‘hockey stick’ graph of global warming.
I get exasperated with fellow academics, and others who ought to know better, who pile on to the supposed global warming consensus without bothering to investigate any of the glaring scientific discrepancies and procedural flaws. Over the coming few years, as the costs of global warming policies mount and the evidence of a crisis continues to collapse, perhaps it will become socially permissible for people to start thinking for themselves again.
Peter Foster: Climate policy bust
The case against drastic action goes well beyond finding holes in the science. There also appears to be chicanery afoot, and not for the first time.
the science is falling apart faster than the policy. Evidence is appearing not merely of major flaws in the computer models on which apocalyptic scenarios are based, but of blunders in the numbers behind the history of global temperatures.
The most obvious problem for warmists is that there has been no warming this millennium, and possibly since 1997, depending on which data you use. They have been scrambling to suggest that there was always a possibility of a period of stable temperatures, but that was never their message before. It was always: Act now or fry! And now some scientists say there’s a possibility of continued temperature stability for up to another two decades. That makes global warming hard to sell as a policy emergency.
TREE RINGS FRAUD - THE SILENCE OF THE MSM DEAFENS
The selection of tree rings here simply cannot, on a statistical, basis, be random. Therefore we are not dealing with some possible honest accident but deliberate fraud. Deliberate fraud on which the whole catastrophic Global warming swindle is based. We also see at total refusal to mention this, indeed censorship of any comments that ask, on Realclimate & related sites. If there were any defence to this accusation realclimate should be shouting it now.
I think this is the death knell for CAGW.
It may also be the moment the blogsphere became the primary news source.
The most important story in global warming science (possibly in all of science) this past week has been the discovery that tree ring research used to produce the well publicized IPCC "hockey sticks" is totally bogus. The end result of this news is that the IPCC's claim that late 20th century global warming was greater than any other period in the past 2,000 years has literally collapsed. Simply put, the late 20th century warming is not unusual nor "unprecedented."
So, what exactly is the basis of the Cap-n-Trade scam?
Top Ten Bizarre Aspects of ObamaCare
by admin October 4th, 2009The following is reproduced in full from Doug Ross Journal
10. Doctors who treat the oldest patients will be fined by the government: The government will create a "hit list" of doctors who are in the top 10% of Medicare costs per patient nationwide. Those doctors on the list automatically lose 5 percent of their total Medicare reimbursements, which are already abysmally low. Because the most aged patients are the most costly to treat, doctors will shy away from treating the oldest segment of the population for fear it will relegate them to the hit list. Put simply, this stricture will dramatically reduce access to health care for our most vulnerable seniors.
9. Democrats have combined free health care for illegal immigrants with measures to increase the number of illegals in this country: All GOP efforts to amend the health care bills to require a photo ID, a Social Security number and similar measures have been defeated on party lines. This is consistent with a June report ("If the American people found out...") that "[pro-illegal immigration group] La Raza said if they get this, they don't even care about amnesty, because they've fixed it so that one family member can apply for all extended family members."
8: Seniors will receive hefty tax hikes for care: Medical devices are taxed by the Baucus bill in order to raise about $4 billion annually. So much for the promises that the middle class won't see their taxes raised. These newly taxed devices include pacemakers, hip joint replacements, gastrointestinal tubes, artificial hearts, hearing aids, heart defibrillators, powered wheelchairs, etc. In other words, the taxes will hit seniors hardest, make procedures less affordable, and punish the device manufacturing sector.
7: Choose to self-insure? You'll face a year in prison: Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold [confirmed] the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance: Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty.
6: Taxes for everyone with health care insurance will increase: To pay for the $1 trillion cost of the bill, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wants either an income surtax on the wealthy or higher taxes on "Cadillac" health plans (e.g., most comprehensive plans, including those of union members). Again -- so much for the promises that the middle class won't see their taxes raised.
5: Nearly half of all doctors would consider quitting if ObamaCare becomes law: Two out of three doctors oppose the bills under consideration in Washington. And hundreds of thousands of doctors would take an early retirement or shut down their practices if the bills become law. Lastly, "72% of the doctors polled disagree with the administration's claim that the government can cover 47 million more people with better-quality care at lower cost."

Thank-you, President Obama. I think of my favorite hymn, Amazing Grace - "I once was blind and now I see".
I have lived a mostly apolitical life. Oh, I mourned the end of Camelot with the assassination of JFK, abhorred the arrogance of Richard Nixon, suffered the gas lines under Carter's reign, listened with hope to Ronald Reagan's speeches and despised the amorality of the Clintons. But still embraced no political ideology.
In 2000 I voted for George simply because I admired Barbara and he is her son. Newly retired, I then had time to closely follow the coverage of the "stolen election". "Count all the votes", the big Democrat lie, was the impetus for me to change my party affiliation to Republican. Eight years later, not proudly, I voted for John McCain.
Almost a year after the election, with Obama's relentless attacks on our Constitution, I am a rabid, "hate mongering", "lying", "racist", "violence inciting", on the terrorist watch list right winger. I have discovered Levin, Stehn, Rush, Beck, David Horowitz, The American Thinker, Imprimus, the Heritage Foundation and so much more. My "seasoned citizen" brain is overflowing with knowledge of czars, White House and congressional corruption, communism and radicalism in America and, most importantly, the founding principles of our great nation. Being informed isn't easy. I email and phone Congress and I worry about our future. Ignorance cannot be reclaimed. I once was an "in the closet" proud American. I am now a loud, "you will not destroy our country", flag waving, "save our Constitution" PROUD AMERICAN.
Thank you, President Obama.

A panel of experts will be available to answer questions if our representatives cannot attend.
Congressmen Miller, Price, Etheridge and Sen Kay Hagan and Burr all received hand delivered invitations to this over the last 24hrs.
Congressman Miller and David Price have already notified us and declined the invitation, they will be represented in effigy. We are still waiting for Sen Hagan and Burr's response.
This will be a non political educational meeting to the public, we have so far estimated 400 folks and counting to attend, we have only released this announcement a few days ago.
Many of our elected lawmakers refuse to hold a town hall meeting, we will hold our own.
This event was paid for by simply spreading a donation bucket around to conservative groups throughout the triangle and triad area. Triangle Conservative and several other groups came to meet last week and all agreed on this venue.
Rules and etiquette for questions.
The questions should be prepared and written in advance. Facts supporting the question should be included. We will have state of the art projectors and three large screens to show HR 3200 information in detail. If the question is related to this bill, provide the page number so that it can be shown on the screen for verification.
The questions will not be limited to health care.

While Obama flops on previous flips of old flops, public option? Yes! - public option? No! - public option? I, uh, dont know ...
While lawmakers can't agree on exactly how they will install socialism without losing their jobs ...
You shouldn't be wondering what stalled the unicorn stampede to socialism that was launched in January.
It was you.
You stalled the stampede.
You threw the wrench into the gears of the America-Eating Machine.
You realized that you've been waiting decades for Americans to stand up and say NO, and you knew that you could not wait any longer for someone else to do something.
Are you going to stop now? Thousands, perhaps millions of Americans, are marching on Washington in September. They will be all the Americans that have decided that waiting on somebody else to do it is not an option.
If you haven't yet made your plans for 9/12 in DC, you may be close to making that mistake you will regret for a lifetime.

Do Liberals Still Want to Follow Canada's Plan?
by Bubba August 17th, 2009Our comrades of the left have for years kept Canada's socialist health care system perched on a pedestal. How many times have you heard or read about how great the Canadian system is?
Canadian Health Officials: Our Universal Health Care Is 'Sick,' Private Insurance Should Be Welcomed
So, since the upcoming president of the Canadian Medical Association has admitted that their model system so envied by American liberals is collapsing, what will be the mantra now?
The lesson will not be learned. No, not by our liberal statists. After all, the fact that socialism has failed everywhere and everytime it's tried, is only because America hasn't yet shown the world the proper way to institute it.

» Democrats’ Fear Is Showing on Health Care
This administration feels it is the only legitimate beneficiary of “people power.”
The Democratic party is panicking, lashing out like a cornered animal, all because its effort to take over the health-care industry is coming apart like so much wet toilet paper.
Nancy Pelosi, who will get her own bound volume in the annals of asininity, has outdone herself. When asked by a reporter whether the protests at various town-hall meetings represented legitimate grassroots opposition or were manufactured “AstroTurf” stunts, she replied, “I think they’re AstroTurf. You be the judge. They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on health care.”
Now this is a pas de trois of dishonesty, slander, and idiocy. Not only is Pelosi lying when she says protesters are bringing swastikas to these town halls, not only is she suggesting that American citizens are Nazis for having the effrontery to get in the way of Obamacare, but she’s also saying that the alleged swastikas are obvious proof that these protests are manufactured by slick P.R. gurus.
For the eight years of the Bush presidency, we saw almost non-stop protests. These protests were characterized by speakers being shouted down; fake blood; fake waterboarding; crude, obscene and violent picket signs, etc. Not the American way we said. Freedom of speech is one thing. Ugly, violent, obscene speech is something else.
We need to keep that in mind, especially now that Obama has called out the SEIU thugs. We are the classy protestors. The ones who come armed with facts and dignity. We are not the people of death threats and swear words, nor are we opposed to free speech.
Saying “no” is only the beginning. The fact is that there is a problem with health care in America, and that problem is sky-rocketing costs. Part of the problem is tied to the fact that medicine has moved beyond leeches and cupping. Scientific sophistication is going to cost you. But the other part of the problem is that there are no incentives to save money, and that’s true whether you’re a provider, an insurer, or a patient.
The answer that Obama & Co have to rising costs is simple: let’s just transfer all control to the government. It won’t cost less (in fact, it will cost much more), and the medical care you receive will degrade significantly, and innovation will vanish, but the important thing is that citizens won’t see the money being spent at the doctor’s office. (Never mind that it’s being sucked out of their pockets through sky-high taxes.) After all, we’re dumb little sheeple and, when it comes to money, out of sight is out of mind, right?

Time Is of the Essence
The Time to Act Is Now
Dear Fellow Patriot,
Thank you for getting out on Friday to voice your opposition to Government Take Over of Our Health Care! We had protests outside of many offices around the country. We are still tallying our results.
Government take over of our health care is not a done deal yet. We are asking you to Melt the Phone Lines this week. We need to weigh in actively, aggressively, and with big numbers.
To that end, call each of the respective members of the committee below, not just the ones from your state. If the office says they only take calls from their District, remind them that the Representative or Senator swore to uphold the US Constitution, which represents all of us. Also, if they are a committee member (this does not hold true for the caucus members) remind them that part of the Representative or Senator's role on the committee is to gather information from many sources to make the best decision. You are helping provide that information.
Health Care Freedom To Do List
1. Right Now: Click "Confirm your continued interest in receiving email from us" link is at the very top of this email above the Tea Party Patriots image. That will help us speed up the delivery of emails through Constant Contact. Thanks!
2. Tuesday: Call the House Energy and Commerce Committee members. Tell them not to pass the government run health care bill out of committee. Our sources tell us that all the Republicans will be voting against the legislation already so you may choose to focus on the Democrats. Record your answers and the number of calls you made.
3. Wednesday: Call the Blue Dog Democrats. Record your answers and the number of calls you made.
4. Wednesday: Watch the Pajamas Media Health Care Town Hall.
5. Thursday: Call the Senate Finance Committee tell them our economy cannot afford another massive government spending bill. (This link may not be active now abut it will be active before Thursday.) Record your answers and the number of calls you made.
6. Friday: Call your Senators and your Representative; tell them as a constituent you are asking them to vote NO on government take over of Health Care. Record your answers and the number of calls you made.
7. Friday: Call the Blue Dog Democrats AGAIN. Record your answers and the number of calls you made.

North Carolinians to DC for 912 TaxPayer March on Washington
by TMedlin July 11th, 2009Calling all North Carolina Patriots!
Our next BIG event will be to head to Washington DC to participate in the 9-11 Memorial, the March and Rally on 9-12, and the demonstration at Walter Reed in conjunction with Free Republic.
Websites with the information include
www.912dc.org,
www.resistnet.com,
www.teapartypatriots.com,
www.freedomworks.com and several others.
Since we are so close, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to put 10,000 North Carolinians in DC for that event.
There are a multitude of ways to get there - planes, charter buses, Amtrak, caravans... and there are numerous hotel packages available. Several of us have made our reservations at the Capital Hilton, right in the middle of everything; just blocks from the White House, the National Mall, Washington Monument, etc. There's a limited number of rooms left, so go ahead and make those reservations now.
If the Hilton books up, the Westin is close by and we have good rates, there, too.
You need to make your reservations via the 912dc.org website to be sure to get the discount.
We're trying to get a discount for those people wanting to arrive on Wed evening...we will know more about that on Monday.
In the meantime, several of us are going to caravan...if you want to join us, drop us a line. Carpooling is advisable, because parking is limited and expensive.
We Surrounded Them (Updated 7/11)
by Bubba July 9th, 2009On July 9, 2009 MoveOn.org sent their orgs to the Federal Bldg in downtown Raleigh, NC to hold a rally in support of Socialized Healthcare. The Federal Building site was chosen because it is the location of Senator Hagan's Raleigh office.
The goal was to give speeches, wave a few signs, chant a few chants, garner media attention and convince Kay Hagan that MoveOn.org represents the people of North Carolina.
They Failed.
Their speakers had to yell at the top of their lungs to be heard - their voices were drowned out by patriots. Bystanders and passer-bys had to stand on tip-toes to see their signs - they were surrounded by the signs of patriots. There were no MoveOn chants - if Kay Hagan was watching, she heard only the chants of the Tea Party:
"One Term Hagan, One Term Hagan, One Term Hagan "
And there was no media. MoveOn had no media allies to record their lies of 'Public Option Affordable Healthcare'.
The orgs also cannot truthfully claim superior numbers. The Tea Party patriots outnumbered them 3:1. And when they left, they did so only by passing through the throngs of patriots.
Right-Wing Extremist were the last to leave the battlefield.

The Enabling Act
by Bubba July 3rd, 2009National Socialism III - The Enabling Act
Somewhere, cosseted deep in the Beltway, far from the prying eyes of honest working folk, those who hope to wrest the final bit of power away from the people and the constitution (that ancient scrap of paper which only impedes them on their march to absolute power), are preparing to repeal Article 22 of the US Constitution.
Pretty soon MoveOn.Org, Media Matters, and all the other Soros-Democrat front groups will begin beating their drums for its repeal because its part of that worthless US Constitution, which was, it is well known, written by white men who had no real understanding of life, liberty, or the pusuit of happiness, and paid no personal price for the production of the document.
There is one big difference between pre-Nazi Germany and current United States. When the Germans finally realized what was happening there was nothing they could do about it. You see ... they had no guns.

Thomas Paine admonishes the President to uphold our founding principles
by admin June 20th, 2009Revolution
by Bubba June 12th, 2009The following article is copied directly from Revolution by Herbert Meyer at AmericanThinker.com. I copy it in its entirety, it is too good to just excerpt.
During the last 30 years we Americans have been so politically divided that some of us have called this left-right, liberal-conservative split a "culture war" or even a "second Civil War." These descriptions are no longer accurate. The precise, technical word for what is happening in the United States today is revolution.
Because of our country's history, we tend to think of revolutions as military conflicts, and of the revolutionaries as the good guys; the image of Minutemen fighting valiantly against the British forces at Lexington and Concord lies deep within our DNA. But sometimes -- quite often, actually -- revolutions aren't military conflicts, and the good guys are the ones trying to keep the revolution from happening. In January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany by its elected president; he would spend the next two years consolidating his power with the legislative connivance of his political allies in the Reichstag. In October 1917, Lenin and his Bolsheviks took control of Russia from Kerensky and his Social Democrats -- who had overthrown the Czar earlier that year -- entirely through parliamentary maneuvering in Russia's fledgling Duma.
What defines a revolution -- and this is the crucial point to grasp -- is that when it's over a country has changed not merely its leaders and its laws, but its operating system.
Since most of us think of computers when we hear the phrase "operating system" let me use this analogy to illuminate my point: Every computer has an operating system, and most of us are using either the Microsoft or the Apple operating system. If you want to do something with your computer -- send an email, watch a DVD, read an online essay like this one -- you must do it the way your computer's operating system is designed to work.
No operating system is perfect, which is why Microsoft and Apple send updates to their customers from time to time. And every so often these companies launch new versions of their operating systems that incorporate a lot of modifications at once. Can you change the operating system you use? Of course you can. Two years ago I threw out every Microsoft-based machine in our company's office and replaced them with Apple products. Last month I met a corporate CEO who had just done the opposite, and replaced the Apple computers in his office with ones that run on the Microsoft operating system.
Democracies and Dictatorships
Now, just as computers have operating systems so too do countries. In fact, countries have dual operating systems - one political and the other economic. Broadly speaking, there are two kinds of each: Politically you can be a democracy or a dictatorship, and economically you can have either a free market or a command economy. Because countries don't buy their operating systems off the shelf, the way we buy our computer operating systems, each country develops its own versions. This is why our country's democracy is somewhat different from Canada's, which in turn is slightly different from Australia's, and so forth. These countries all have free-market economies, but again they aren't quite the same. Still, the similarities among democracies and free-market economies are more striking than the differences. Likewise, while no two dictatorships are the same, and no two command economies work in exactly the same way, the differences among them are comparatively trivial.
Since no country's operating systems are perfect, can they be improved? Of course they can. Every time our Congress passes a new law, or enacts a new regulation -- or whenever the Supreme Court issues an opinion -- that's the equivalent of an update to our political or economic operating system. Can you change a country's operating system? Yes, you can. And the precise, technical word for replacing one political or economic operating system with another is -- revolution.
When politics in a democracy is normal, the political parties all agree to preserve the operating system while they compete to improve it. This is what is actually happening when one party in Congress introduces a new piece of healthcare or education legislation and the other party opposes it or introduces its own healthcare or education bill, or when two candidates for the Senate argue over whether or not to change our immigration laws. Honorable people often will disagree about what to do -- sometimes quite strongly, just as the software engineers at Microsoft and Apple will sometimes argue through the night about whether a proposed change in the operating system's code is an improvement or just "kludge." But in normal politics the outer limits of all these disagreements are marked by a shared commitment to preserving and improving the operating system.
In abnormal politics, the objective of one party isn't to improve the operating system, but to overthrow it.

Wise Warning to America - from a Brit
by Bubba June 12th, 2009Socialism: Creating Future Voters On Your Dime
My friends in America; you are in dire need of a revolution. There comes a point where things become more than ridiculous, when things truly take a turn for the bizarre; I believe that Obama has taken you way beyond this particular point. What you are viewing in this video is about the lowest form of human manipulation than mankind can engage in. To prey upon, and exploit apathy, underachievement, and man's desire to get something for nothing in order to engorge the party with votes, is truly beyond the pale. The Marxists are actively waging war against the American way of life; they are currently winning. The question is, what are you prepared to do?
Something of Historic Proportions is Happening
by admin June 6th, 2009I am a student of history. Professionally. I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied it all my life. I think there is something monumentally large a foot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into sharper focus.
Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten - fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.
We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back. Why?
We learn that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has 'loaned' two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom, or why, or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700B we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why
are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of 'we the people', who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.
We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why? We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and we no longer teach our founding documents, showing why we are exceptional and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large
cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, and school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why?
We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (now violently in California over a proposition that is so 'controversial' that it wants marriage to remain between one man and one
woman!). Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago? We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then allow mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?
Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse; Social Security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government, and our education system is worse than a joke. (I teach college and know precisely what I am talking about.) The list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially 1929 x ten.. And we are at war with an enemy we cannot name for fear of offending people of the same religion, an enemy who cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.
Now we have elected President a man no one knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla, Alaska . All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling, if not downright scary. Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a 'mandatory civilian defense force' stronger than our military for use inside our borders. No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over, and then demand he explain it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe is more importance to the media..
Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: change. Why?
I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now! This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.
And that is only the beginning.
I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed. He edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his 'brown shirts' would bully them into submission. And then, he was duly elected to office as full-throttled economic crisis was at hand [the Great Depression]. Slowly but surely he seized the controls of government power, department-by-department,person-by-person, bureaucracy-by-bureaucracy. The kids joined a Youth Movement in his name, where they were taught what to think. How did he get the people on his side? He did it promising jobs to the jobless, money to the moneyless, and goodies for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in their country, across Europe , and around the world.
He did it with a compliant media. Did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and ..... change. And the people surely got what they voted for. (Look it up if you think I am exaggerating.)
Read your history books. Many people objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and made fun of. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though.
Don't forget that Germany was the most educated, cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And in less than six years --- a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency --- it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to hell is paved with them.
As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can
believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me.
Some people scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. Perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe, and why I believe it.
I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am.
